Helene - Vase XII

Helene is an irregular moon of Saturn named after Helene of Troy. 

This small vase is the twelfth vase in the series 274 moons / 274 vases. Helene was made entirely by hand with a groggy grey stoneware clay. I glazed with my icy blue glaze and then applied an oxide. 

Helene is not perfectly round. 

The vase was coiled by hand and fired up to 1240C. 

The vase is functional and measures 11,5 cm in height and around 8cm in diameter at its middle (largest) point. 

All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
